Facebook Live Selling - Frequently Asked Questions 


Please Note: 

The majority of these terms apply only to our Facebook Live Selling Sales. Other sales that we host may have different terms and conditions.

How it works.....

1. Send us your paypal email address 

2. Bid on the item you want. Either prebid or during the live sale.

3. Receive and invoice and pay the invoice. 

4 We ship your items.

What is a Live Sale? 

During a Live Sale or Live Selling Event we sell our products using live video feed on our Facebook page. Sales are normally advertised through posting on our page and preview of auction items can also be found there as well.  During the live sale we will present items for sale. Each item starts at $10 minimum asking price. BIDS MUST BE PLACED IN WHOLE DOLLAR AMOUNTS. You may comment the price you are willing to pay. The highest offer wins that item.  Make sure to "Like" and "Follow" or page and turn on "Live" notifications. Facebook will notify you when we post and when we are live.

How do I register to bid?

If you intend on bidding on the current sale or any sales in the future, please send us your email address and contact info using Facebook Messenger. DO NOT LEAVE PERSONAL INFO IN COMMENTS ON FACEBOOK. We will keep your email address on file so you won't have to send this for future sales.

Where do you ship from?

We ship from zip code 14740. Our address can be found on the "Contact Us Page".

What payment types do you accept?

Payment can be made through PayPal. If you intend to pay using PayPal please send us your PayPal email address through Messenger or Email. Please also include your shipping zip code so that we can determine the best shipping option. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR EMAIL OR PERSONAL INFO IN COMMENTS ON THE ITEM YOU WISH TO BUY. We also accepts cash or major credit card upon pickup. 

How do I redeem a coupon?

If you have a coupon you can simply send us a picture of the coupon. We will apply the coupon discount to your invoice.

How long do I have to pay my bill?

Once your invoice has been emailed you have 3 days to pay your bill. If you plan to pickup your items please do so within 7 days. If you are unable to pay or pickup within the time specified please contact us. Any unpaid items will be forfeited and resold after 7 days unless you have contacted us to make other arrangements. 

Do you need my email address even though I'm picking my items up and paying cash?

If you intend to bid please send us your email address in Facebook Messenger. For those without access to Messenger you can email us at If you intend to pay with PayPal make sure you send your PayPal email address. We will send you an invoice within 24 hours after the sale ends. This invoice will have the shipping charges, items charges, and tax listed on it. If you are tax exempt we must have your certificate on file or you will be charged sales tax.

How do I know how much to pay?

An invoice will be emailed to you within 24 hours of the sale completion.

How does shipping work?

Most of our items ship in USPS Flat Rate Priority Boxes. These prices are as follows. 

Small $10.25

Padded Flat Rate Envelope $10.75

Medium $17.90

Large $24.95

Items may be combined in the same box. If you buy two items that fit in a small they ship for $7.90.

UPS shipping is also available for large items or larger combined orders.

What time can I pickup my items?

​Our normal shop hours are 8am-2pm Monday-Friday. Special Saturday hours are available for auction pickup. Please contact us to schedule a pickup time prior to arrival.

Can I return my items?

Sorry, we don't offer returns on auction or live selling items. All sales are final. 

What if the item I purchased arrived broken in the mail?

Please contact us for cases pertaining to shipping damage.

Why was I blocked from commenting or bidding?

We reserve the right to block anyone from bidding that disrupts the sale process, uses profanity, racial slurs, or any other derogatory remarks toward Chautauqua Bids LLC. or anyone that may be participating in the sale. Blocking may occur due to lack of payment as well.

What if I bid the same amount as someone else?

If the same bid amount is received for an item, the item will not be sold until one buyer bids more than another.

Can a friend or relative pickup my items?

Yes anyone can pickup your items. However, if you are paying through PayPal, the representative picking up your items must provide us with a copy of the paid invoice from PayPal and you must provide prior notification.

What if I don't have a Facebook account but I still want to bid?

You can place an absentee bid by contacting us no later than 4 hours prior to the start of the sale.

How does prebidding work?

Prebids on items will be accepted up until 2 hours prior to the start of the sale. You can place your prebid amount by commenting on photo of the item you wish to purchase. Simply place the dollar amount that you want to pay in comments. A prebid doesn't guarantee you will win the item. Once the live sale starts the highest prebid amount will be the starting price of the item during the sale. If nobody else bids higher, you win.
